Lionel Messi's Inter Miami has been named the 18th-most valuable soccer club in the world - but two MLS clubs are even higher.

After adding Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba last summer - and Luis Suarez this year - the Herons have captured global attention with their 16.9million Instagram followers easily the most in MLS.

And according to a new study from Sportico, the club is worth $1.02billion - more than the likes of West Ham, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Lyon, Ajax and Napoli.

Sportico said Inter Miami made $127million in revenue during the 2022-23 period.

That figure comes after the club sold out its season tickets ahead of this season - though some fans fumed at the 'disrespectful' price hike amid the club's A-list roster.

However, two MLS clubs are apparently even more valuable, as LAFC were valued at $1.15billion and Atlanta United was valued at $1.05billion.

Those figures put them 15th and 17th on the list respectively, with Atlanta right below AC Milan and right above Inter Milan.

LAFC has been one of MLS' most consistent clubs since debuting in 2019, winning its first MLS Cup in 2022 and finishing as runner-up last year.

Atlanta, meanwhile, was MLS Cup champs in 2018 and had the league's highest average attendance last year.

Two other MLS clubs featured in the top 20: the LA Galaxy at 19th and NYCFC at 20th.

Austin FC and the Seattle Sounders were also 21st and 22nd respectively.

In total, 20 MLS clubs were deemed to be among the world's 50 most valuable clubs.

The Premier League can only boast nine teams in the top 50, though it accounted for six teams in the top 10.

Manchester United were named the most valuable club in the world at $6.2billion, while Liverpool (fourth), Man City (sixth), Arsenal (eighth), Tottenham (ninth) and Chelsea (tenth) followed.

It surely hasn't hurt Miami's valuation that the club has been tremendous thus far in 2024, as the Herons lead MLS with 24 points after winning seven of their first 12 games.

Messi in particular has been spectacular, as he already has 10 goals and notched a ridiculous five assists in one half vs. the Red Bulls last weekend.
